Gaza - Press House
On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Press House – Palestine concluded three group psychosocial support sessions targeting 15 female journalists at its headquarters in Gaza City. The sessions were held as part of the "Psychological Helpline and Psychosocial Support Sessions for Journalists in the Gaza Strip 2026–2027" project, funded by the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).
Led by psychologist Nour Jouda over the course of three days (five hours daily), the sessions covered key topics including stress management, coping with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), self-care skills, psychological first aid, and awareness of gender-based violence.
The workshops also featured interactive and debriefing activities, as well as guided exercises focused on fostering emotional release and mutual support among participants.
These sessions come as part of Press House's ongoing efforts to provide safe spaces for psychological support and help alleviate the extraordinary burdens and pressures female journalists face while carrying out their reporting in the field.
The final day of the psychosocial support sessions included a legal awareness workshop led by Monther Al-Farani, legal advisor to Press House, which addressed journalists' rights under Palestinian labor law.
